1974 fender princeton reverb

This amp needed an entirely new cab (the old one was badly damaged/beyond repair), a full cap job, power/bias resistors, and new tubes. The cab was made by Mojotone in North Carolina, then shipped out here and modified by myself to fit the chassis straps, chassis bolt holes, and Fender logo. It took a lot of planning to drill out the cab correctly, and is the type of job where you only get one chance to do it right. The all pine finger-jointed cabinet came set up for a larger 12” speaker which is a great modification for Princeton’s and one that makes a massive difference in tone/vibe. It was given a full cap job, 2 watt metal oxide bias/dropping resistors and thoroughly cleaned.

The tube compliment was a mix of JJ and Tungsol 12AX7/12AT7’s and a pair of JJ 6V6S power tubes. The Fixed Bias was set to idle at a slightly hot %74 Class AB Plate Dissipation with a B+ of 406VDC which suits this small but powerful combo. This one was a huge restoration but it came out great! This is the type of amp I wish I owned myself and could stash in my studio.
