2017 Orange Dual Dark 100

My personal favorite modern hi-gain style amp, the Dual Dark 100 is a high quality PCB amplifier that does Stoner and Doom Metal like no other. This one came in needing a full set of new tubes and having several of the pots smashed off and broken during shipping.

The amp was completely dis-assembled (has to happen to replace even a pot) and a new set of pots were installed that were ordered directly from Orange. Afterwards the new tube set was installed: V1 = JJ 12AX7MG, V2 = JJ12AX7S, V3 = JJ E83CC, V4 = JJ12AX7S, V5 = EHX 12AT7, V6 = EHX 12AX7, V7-V10 = Tungsol EL34B Matched Quad. The EL34’s were biased to factory spec - which is 36mVDC per power tube. Amp now functions like new.
